An emergency is any situation that requires immediate assistance from the Police, Fire Department or EMS

What does “In Progress” mean?

In progress crimes are life threatening situations happening in present time with people involved or at risk.

When to Call 911

Any emergency situation requiring immediate assistance from the Police, Fire Department, or EMS.

-A fire

-A crime in progress

-A car crash, especially if someone is injured

-A medical emergency

 Such as someone who is unconscious, gasping for air or not breathing, experiencing an allergic reaction, having chest pain, having uncontrollable bleeding, or any other symptoms that require immediate medical attention.

When to Call (856) 757-7400

Any incidents that are not in progress/ life threatening.

-Minor Property Crimes: (items stolen, property damage)

-Minor Car Accidents: (fender benders)

-Disturbances/ Loitering

-ATV’s/ Dirt Bikes: (off road vehicles)

-Curfew Violations (Camden’s curfew law begins at 10pm and applies to everyone under the age of 18)
